General Information
The course deals with the fundamental problems of engineering
mechanics. The emphases are on the fundamental concepts and the
analyses of stresses, strains, forces and deformations of simple
structural elements, such as beams and columns. A comprehensive
project involving various analyses of stresses, strains, section
properties, forces and deflections is given to enhance the understanding
of the subject.
