Synopsis

A Musician's Life tells the story of Zhao Liming (believed to be a reference to the famed Chinese composer Shi Guangnan), a misician and songwriter whose compositions convey his love of life, the motherland and its poeple. Zhao considers the highs and lows of his life as equal opportunities to enhance the nature of his art, and never stops collecting materials for his artistic expression, even during the Cultural Revolution when he was sent to the remote regions of China's west.
