Policy Statement
JDEA "Short Notes"

What is acceptable for publication?
1. Comments on published papers

(a) Counterexample or correction of a published result,
(b) Shorter proof or one which takes advantage of other results,
(c) Additional citations overlooked in an article,
(d) Small but noteworthy generalizations,
(e) Significant application or example relevant to previous publication of submitting author

2. A very interesting example: One that appears to have "watershed" potential
3. Announcement of results: Considered only if a copy of the accepted manuscript together with evidence of acceptance is submitted along with the Note.


Implementation
1. The title of each Note shall begin with "A Note on ... "
2. Page limit: Four pages including references, when using the JDEA class file without altering margins or other spacing commands. The Journal class files are downloadable at http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/authors/gdeaauth.asp. Follow the link to "LaTeX Template" in Section 2, Style guidelines,
3. References should be made only to published articles or accepted manuscripts. In the latter case a copy of the
manuscript together with evidence of acceptance must be submitted along with the Note.
4. All published Notes shall be refereed
5. All Notes should be submitted on line at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/gdea,
6. A maximum of 2 accepted Notes within a 12 month period will be
considered for publication
