Originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, Dr. Le Dam Hanh combines fluency in Japanese and English with training in technical and policy aspects of transportation development to establish herself as one of the regions most promising professionals. After receiving her doctorate in civil engineering from Japans Gifu University, Dr. Hanh accepted a visiting appointment at the School of Urban Planning and Development at the University of Southern California, where she helped to lead an overseas lab project to Hanoi. She currently holds a position at the Japan Transport Economics Research Center in Tokyo, where she advises the government on Japanese overseas transportation aid programs in Southeast Asia. |
