Dr. Y.K. Fan is one of PRCUD's most venerable members, and has served continuously as a member of the Board of Directors since PRCUD's inception in 1989. In addition, Dr. Fan is a past-President of PRCUD, and as President in 1996 oversaw a major restructuring process for our organization. He is Dean of the School of Business at Hong Kong Baptist University, returning to Hong Kong from his tenured faculty position at the University of Wisconsin. He has earned great respect for his work in Hong Kong, helping to build important institutional bridges linking professional communities in Hong Kong to their counterparts in China and abroad. He was instrumental in organizing the critically important PRCUD Hong Kong Conference in 1990 that set the organization on its path, and he continues to work actively on behalf of PRCUD. |
