Biographical information for Dr. Russell Stockard
Dr. Russell Stockard is an Assistant Professor in the Communication Arts Department
in the School of Business at Claifornia Lutheran University. With an A. M in
Romance Languages and Literatures from Harvard University, Dr. Russell Stockard entered
Stanford Univeristy and obtained his Ph. D in Communication there. After completing
his doctoral studies, he was a research associate at the Higher Education Research
Institute and taught communication studies part-time at UCLA. He then entered and
completed the M.B.A. program at UCLA and spent eight years in telecommunications and
cable television,culminating in a marketing position at the Los Angeles regional office
of Home Box Office. He returned to teaching in a tenure-track position at California
Lutheran University, where he teaches marketing, sports marketing, campaign
communication, copywriting, broadcasting, and small group communication.
