I am a research assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, University of Southern California. My primary research interest is cognitive neuroscience, using both functional MRI techniques and EEG. Specifically, I am interested studying language and decision making. For language research, I am studying how brain learns language and the cultural effect, using Chinese-English comparison, second language acquisition and artificial language training. For decision making, I am studying the role of cognitive control and emotion in risky decision making, using approaches such as functional MRI and lesion patient. I am participating in a collaborating project that examines the genetic basis of risky decision making.
