Andrew
Walter is Senior Lecturer in International
Relations at the London School of Economics, specializing in
international political economy. Until 1997 he was Fellow of
St Antony’s College, Oxford, and University Lecturer
in International Relations, where he taught international relations
and political economy. Since 1997 he has been the Director
of the MSc Politics of the World Economy programme at the LSE.
He has published articles on the political economy of international
finance and investment, on the history of thought, and a book
on international monetary relations since 1870. He is currently
writing a book on the negotiation and implementation of international
financial regulatory standards since the Asian financial crisis.
