John
Odell is
a Professor at the School of International Relations, University
of Southern California. His other research and teaching interests
include the history and theory of the world political economy,
U.S. foreign economic policy, the international trade and monetary
systems, international institutions, and qualitative research
methods. He has served as editor of International Organization (1992-1996)
and Director of the USC Center for International Studies (1989-1992).
He has been a visiting scholar at the Institute for International
Economics, the office of the U.S. Trade Representative, Japan's
Ministry of Finance and Ministry of International Trade and Industry,
and the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva.
He has held various research fellowships and grants.
