Andrew
Mertha received his Ph.D. from the University
of Michigan in February 2001. He joined the faculty at Washington
University in July 2001. His research interests include international
trade, policy implementation andenforcement, and bureaucratic
politics and political institutions, particularly in contemporary
China.
