Chunqi Jiang received the Ph.D. degree from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, in 2002. Her research interests include atmospheric-pressure microplasmas and their applications in medicine, pollution control, and compact high power. Her research are supported by the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the National Institute of Health. In addition to her research partnerships with US universities and institutes, she maintains multiple collaborations on plasma research with international peers. She was an invited professor at the University of Paris-Sud (France). In addition to her technical publications, her research results were featured in The Economist as well as on the Discovery Channel.
