Last flight

The last-flight of the season leaves. A `winter-over' crew of some 28 people remain. A few scientists remain to conduct experiments during the Austral winter, and a group of people to `look after' the scientists.
Air drop

In the middle of winter, we have not seen the Sun for 3 months, or other people for 4. It is too cold for any planes to land, but at 1000 ft. the air is warmer, and the USAF fly over and drop packages containing mail, fresh food, and essential supplies to keep the station running, and to fix broken science experiments.
