I an associate professor in the Computer Science Department, of the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC. I joined USC in August 2010. Before that, I was a research staff member in the Data Analytics Group at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center since November 2006. I received my M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University. My research interests include machine learning and data mining with applications to biology, climate science, health, and social media. Here is my CV .
I am co-organizing the KDD workshop on Mining and Learning from Large Scale Time Series Data.
I will give a tutorial at KDD 2015 on "Social Media Anomaly Detection" .
I am co-chairing the 4th International Climate Informatics Workshop. Find more information at here .
