Basic Information:

I am an assistant professor at the University of Southern California. I received my Ph.D. from New York University in 2011, after receiving my B.A. from Western Washington University and then completing my first two years of graduate work at Rutgers University.

My primary areas of research are Metaphysics and Philosophy of Religion. Within Metaphysics, I am particularly interested in Mereology, Persistence, Ontology, Time, Location, and Modality. I have also done research in Linguistics and Aesthetics. For more information on what I'm working on, please visit my research page.

When not doing Philosophy, I'm frequently organising Philosophy events or learning about (though not always utilising knowledge of) nutrition. I have a website of healthy and often strange recipes here. And if you'd like to see me in action, you can find me on YouTube here and here.
